How To Help
The CWC (Children Welfare Center) was established for the benefit of economically challenged children as well as for children who are suppressed by the rest of the society. Also for parents who cannot afford to send their children to school. While they work all day, their children are left on the streets, exposing them to street life. At the CWC they learn, arts and crafts, play games, sing and dance and have non-formal education as well as learn computer. When a child is ready for regular school, we find them a sponsor. Even their parents (mother) are welcome to receive non-formal education and skill training.
The focus of the welfare center is to provide the children with proper guidance so that in the future they will become very important and useful citizens of Nepal.
Quality recreation as well as education is provided to children. Children are divided into two separate groups ranging from 4yrs to 7yrs known as Early Childhood group and from 8yrs to 12yrs non-formal education Group. The former group learns the basic alphabets in English and Nepali, nursery rhymes, colorings and playing in groups.
The latter group consists mainly of dropouts or parents who lacked fund to send the children to regular school, and is provided with text books where English, Nepali, Math, Science is taught. This non-formal schooling program is for the period of 1-2yrs depending on the capability of the children then they are send to private or government schools.
We emphasize not only in providing better equality education but we believe that every child must learn to be spiritually and morally strong from within.
The day begins with morning prayers and the class begins from 11’O clock for both the group and there is Tiffin break for children at 1:30 PM. After the break the class continues until 3:30 PM.
Dance class has been temporarily stopped due to lack of fund.
